Basic Organizational Principles
The Fil-Mission Auxiliary Association, together with its youth arm, the Filipino Youth with a Mission, truly believes that the association is under the authority and guidance of the Roman Catholic Church, loyal to the Holy Father and under the care of the local hierarchy through its official missionary arm, the Mission Society of the Philippines.
The FMAA, likewise, believes in and adheres to the principle of lay empowerment that we, as lay faithful in Christ, and by virtue of our baptismal dignity, shall take the initiative and full responsibility in the affairs of the organization, and effectively and consciously help our Church in her missionary apostolate by strongly indulging in the promotion of missions.
It also believes and adheres to the principle that the base of the association is the parish, where it can grow and mature; and, at the same time, it can render service for the mission promotion purposes of the parish.
